Basic Chair lift evacuation training

This is an immersive course  conducted at your location that covers the basics of safe chair lift evacuation procedures and processes.  Some advanced material may be taught depending upon level of user experience and capabilities.  This course includes but is not limited to:

Qualified Climber/Ropes Access Technician Review
- Skills assessment
- Review of Current Processes
- Review of Current Equipment
- Process Change Recommendations

- Chairlifts
- Summer operations rope rescue

Equipment Construction and Mechanics
- Rope
- Connectors
- Pulleys and efficiency
- Belay devices/ascenders/descenders
- Harnesses

Regulatory Issues – OSHA, ANSI Z359 and B77 and their impacts to your plan and the industry


Field Practice
- Working with different Sheave Trains and configurations
- Evacuation Seats/harnesses/triangles
- Knots and connectors
- Mechanical advantage
- Safety Checks
- Safe working practices
- Scene management

May include - Review of Tower Climbing/Work Procedures and Work Positioning

Instructor review and sign-off

Course class is $1450 for the first day, $650 for each day thereafter for a class size of 4-6 persons

*Travel expenses will be billed separately.
