Tie the rope onto the center link of the chain brake using a crab pot knot, bowline, or hangman knot.
With the ring over the handle, resting against the front rope welded link, measure and tie the bungee cord and rope together using two-bowline or sheep bend or fisherman/s knot. Have the rope run over the top of the back bars.
Check to be sure the chain extends under the sled all the way with the ring in the back or released position.
A tail Rope (18" section of rope) can be left hanging down from the center link of the chain to help pull the chain under the sled in steep moguls.
